The coin shows the national
symbol of Australia - the image of a jumping kangaroo. Next to it there
is a minted sample of bullion (Ag.9999) and the weight and year of
issue. On the obverse there is an image of Queen Elizabeth II with the
face value.
It was first released into circulation in 1986 in a
slightly different form. Initially, the coin was called the Australian
Mint because its design was based only on the image of a silver nugget.
After three years, the image of the coin changed and it was decided to
mint the symbol of Australia - Kangaroo.
Australian kangaroo is one of the most recognizable bouillon coins in
the world. Produced by the Australian mint Perth Mint is characterized
by a high quality of minting and constantly enjoys great popularity
among customers.
